360shmira filters websites, pictures and video on your Windows PC, on the computer itself, before anything reaches the screen. You choose to put it there. Loosening it takes a second person.

  1. Sites that don’t belong stay closed.

    Adult sites, gambling, piracy and the tools people use to get around a filter: nearly 780,000 known sites, refreshed every week from maintained lists. Google, Bing and YouTube are set to safe search.

  2. Pictures are checked before you see them.

    Skin-tone areas of a picture are covered with plain grey the moment it loads. The check runs on your computer; pictures are never sent anywhere.

  3. No side doors.

    Private windows stay off and other browsers close when they open. Settings that someone changes come back within seconds, and every Windows account on the computer is covered.

Setting it up takes three steps.

  1. Create your account.

    For now 360shmira is by invitation. Your invitation link opens the sign-up page.

  2. Install it on your PC.

    Download 360shmira for Windows from your account and install it. The filter is on from that moment.

  3. Link the computer.

    Your account gives you a one-time code. Type it into 360shmira on the PC, and your account shows that computer reporting in.

You choose it. You can’t switch it off alone.

What you do

  • See every linked computer and whether it is reporting in.
  • Add another computer with a new code.
  • Use Chrome as usual: everything that passes the filter works as it always did.

What takes 360shmira staff

  • Opening a site the filter blocks.
  • Changing what your filter covers.
  • Approving a computer that was set up again after a reinstall.

360shmira is for adults protecting their own computer. Installing it on someone else’s computer without their knowledge is not allowed.

What we keep, and what we don’t.

Your account
Your name, email address and the date you accepted the terms.
Each computer
Its name, Windows version, 360shmira version, whether the filter is working, and when it last reported in.
Pictures and pages
Checked on your computer and never sent to us.
Screen monitoring
Accountability partners and screen monitoring are coming. They will be explained to you before they are ever turned on.
